Principles

Everyone possesses an inner makeup consisting of a collection of regulations, rules, principles, and directives that govern their actions throughout life. Some of these principles are immutable and persist over time, while others are mutable, prompting individuals to adjust to their surroundings and create new ones.

Having principles is crucial to navigating life in our world. We take on specific roles daily, like a spouse, parent, friend, public organization volunteer, private company executive, accountant, etc. These roles are not numerous, and we can quickly identify five or six we play daily.

If individuals can establish principles for each role, they can effectively manage any situation.

Example #1

Role - Father

Principle - «I love my children the way they are. I help my children to know themselves. I am an example for children; they always feel only love and understanding, joy and fun on my part.»

Description - Before addressing a child's disobedience, bedtime delays, or unfinished homework, take a moment to reflect on whether your intended words align with your personal principles. Once you have considered this, you may proceed with your communication.

Example #2

Role - Investor

Principle - «I only invest in industries where I have knowledge and understanding.»

Description - Warren Buffett serves as a prime example of a highly accomplished investor who adheres to his principles. From the outset, he refrained from investing in industries he lacked knowledge of, even if the potential profits were significant.

The principles help when aggression, irritation, pity, anger, resentment, fears, and other feelings/emotions cover us.
